Orange County Gun Owners PAC Issues Public Travel Warning to San Francisco for Gun Owners
PRESS RELEASEIn the wake of a recent resolution by the San Francisco Board of Supervisors declaring the National Rifle Association (NRA) a “domestic terrorist organization,” the Orange County Gun Owners (OCGO), a political action committee promoting Second Amendment rights, has issued a public travel warning to U.S. gun owners to avoid any travel to San Francisco.
“As a public service to gun owners, we are strongly advising all gun owners and Second Amendment supporters to stay out of San Francisco for their own safety,” said Michael Schwartz from OCGO. “With the local government releasing their irresponsible declaration affecting law-abiding citizens who support their constitutionally protected civil right, San Francisco has become unsafe to visit. We’re sad we have to, but we feel we have no choice but to issue this warning for the safety of our members, supporters, and all gun owners considering visiting the San Francisco jurisdiction.”
The city leaders have been widely criticized for their resolution. “San Francisco politicians are dehumanizing and devaluing law-abiding, hardworking people merely because they disagree with their political opinions. Americans, and the penal code, take the label ‘terrorist’ very seriously and it should only be used to label actual terrorists rather than defaming voters who value their civil rights.” said Schwartz.
The San Francisco Board of Supervisors’ move to label law-abiding supporters of the nation’s oldest civil rights organization and people who are simply practicing a civil right as “terrorists”, is completely unprecedented in the United States. San Francisco is unsafe and has only been getting worse for years due to a high level of criminal activity, including homicide, armed robbery, carjacking, muggings, gang activity, rape, narcotics, and human trafficking.
“The human feces lining the streets, the untreated drug addiction, the used hypodermic needles littering the sidewalks, and the high crime statistics already have made San Francisco practically indistinguishable from a third world country. Their Board of Supervisors just took the natural next step in the decline of the once great city by labeling those they disagree with politically as ‘terrorists’,” said Schwartz.
Without producing any proof or examples, the San Francisco Board in their unanimous resolution blamed the NRA for inciting gun owners to acts of violence. Their proclamation is a not-so-subtle threat against the tens of millions of people who support the Second Amendment. OCGO is warning all gun owners and all Second Amendment supporters to stay away from San Francisco and reminding everyone that if convicted of felony terrorism, the government could impose life-ruining fines and/or jail time.
