Volunteers Wanted for Our Table Tops!
Our “Gun Shop Table Top” program is one of our most effective ways to reach out to current and new members. Volunteering is fun and easy! We provide all the materials you need, and all you have to do is show up. You would be passing out literature about the organization, signing up people for our mailing list, and sharing information about membership. This is an incredibly valuable way to give back to the Second Amendment community and support Orange County Gun Owners!
Upcoming Table Tops:
01/28 – Rifle Supply Huntington Beach
01/28 & 01/29 Crossroads of the West Gun Show Ontario – IEGO Booth
02/04 – On Target Shooting Range Laguna Niguel

For the superstitious, Friday the 13th is a day associated with death and misfortune. Someone must’ve opened an umbrella indoors or walked under a ladder, because this year’s first Friday the 13th brought enough misfortune to get any gun owner’s attention. That day, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (BATFE or ATF) released final rule 2021R-08F, “Factoring Criteria for Firearms with Attached ‘Stabilizing Braces,’” easily the Bureau’s single most oppressive action in recent memory. Second Amendment activists are still tirelessly scrutinizing the 293-page document to understand exactly what it means and how it will be enforced. An entire book could be written on this latest final rule and the history behind it; I won’t bother trying to condense all that information into a single blog post. Instead, I’ll use this latest action as an example to prove why ATF has become destructive and must be reformed from top to bottom if not abolished entirely.
Gun Owners Radio: Expanding the 2A Tent with Aqil Qadir
Mike & the crew get ready for the release results report of the “Gun Violence” listening sessions organized by San Diego County’s board of directors. Beth Baumann joins to talk about the importance of local elections. Alisha reviews a case where multiple laws could have been used to disarm a criminal. Aqil Qadir shares why the African American community does not embrace gun ownership.
CA DOJ: Invitation for Preliminary Comments on Proposed Rulemaking Regarding Firearm Microstamping – Comment Period Ends February 1st!
CA DOJ is quietly asking for comments on the revision of the safe handgun microstamping rule that went into effect on July 1 2022 reducing the number of microstamps from 2 to 1.
Since existing regulations implementing the law do not require the unique microstamp on each handgun to be transmitted to and recorded by the DOJ, they are seeking input in developing a procedure for each handgun’s unique microstamp to be transmitted to the Department so that it can be recorded for future reference.
The public is invited to submit comments related to any issue regarding the implementation of this procedure.
They have opened the comment period until 5PM February 1, 2023.
Comments may be submitted by email or mail:
• E-mail: [email protected]
Please include “Microstamp” in the subject line.
• Mail written comments:
